About Me
My name is Ben Early. I am a professional dog trainer and outdoor enthusiast. I grew up in Sonoma County and have always loved being around animals and felt an affinity towards them. I graduated with a B.S. in Biology/Ecology from UC Santa Barbara in order to deepen my knowledge of the natural world. I love to surf, backpack, run, and live a healthy lifestyle. My German Shepherd Obi came into my life in 2020 and I quickly found that she was a lot to handle. I was fortunate enough to have professional dog trainer friends who taught me how to handle difficult dogs and so began my dog training journey. I am now very confident working with all breeds and temperaments of dogs. Over the coarse of my life I have had a persistent calling to deepen my spiritual practice. Dealing with stress, change, uncertainty, frustration, and many other human emotions led me to practice mindfulness and meditation. I believe when working with animals, awareness of our emotions is integral into understanding the emotions and wellbeing of our animals. Leading with love and compassion while demanding respect from our dogs is key to a healthy balanced lifestyle.

I cannot recommend Ben enough to help take care of your fur baby! Bear, my dog, has big emotions and is extremely wary of new people, he likes to keep his circle small. From the second Ben met Bear he was so kind and patient with him knowing perfectly well it would take some time for Bear to feel comfortable. It's very clear that Ben has such a love for Dogs and whether you need a dog walker, trainer, or someone to spend time with your pet, they will be in such good hands with him.
